La Coupée is een landengte die Great Sark met Little Sark verbindt. Het land aan beide zijden van deze landengte is weggespoeld door de zee. De smalle richel is slechts drie meter breed en 90 meter lang. Links en rechts is er een afgrond van 80 meter diep. Tot het begin van de twintigste eeuw was de toegang tot Little Sark via deze richel uiterst moeilijk en zenuwslopend. La Coupée had een onverhard pad, en kinderen moesten er over kruipen op hun handen en knieën om te voorkomen dat ze door de wind over de rand werden geblazen.
