Skarsterlân ) )) was een gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland met 27.467 inwoners en een oppervlakte van 216,89 km². Op 1 januari 2014 ging de gemeente op in de nieuw gevormde gemeente De Friese Meren.
De gemeente Skarsterlân telde dertig officiële kernen . De hoofdplaats was Joure; hier stond ook het gemeentehuis. De Nederlandse namen zijn de officiële. De officiële naam voor de gemeente is echter de Friese.
