Discover a history engraved in the rock of the Aldudes Valley mountains: the mining history of Banca. As far back as antiquity, the Romans dug into the bowels of the mountain to exploit its copper seams. Later, a mining industry with many twists and turns left its mark on this seemingly peaceful valley. Following in the footsteps of one of the valley's miners, you'll discover what daily life was like at the famous "Baigorry smelter" in the 18th century. There are several options for the whole family, ranging from self-guided tours of the Interpretation Center to guided tours of the Mine Trail, for a total immersion in the history of the mine.
Please note that the Interpretation Center is open all year round, with free access during bar-restaurant opening hours.
