The route begins at the hiking parking lot and the restaurant Het Stroomhuis in Neerijnen and leads counterclockwise through the Tielerwaard and the Nederbetuwe along the rivers Waal, Linge, and Korne.

You cycle past Neerijnen Castle and then over the Waalbandijk towards Tiel. In Zennewijnen, you leave the dam along the Waal and cycle towards Wadenoijen, briefly following the Linge river, crossing the river, and following it along the north bank (but only far after Kapel Avezaath do you really cycle directly along the Linge again). Afterwards, you head into the picturesque Buren, which was granted city rights in 1395. The fortifications of Buren are still largely intact. Along the stream Korne, you then cycle in a northwesterly direction through the polders.

In Tricht, you come back along the Linge and cycle westward through the Mariënwaerdt estate over the Appeldijk (the dike is lined with apple trees). In Beesd, you switch sides and follow the Linge for a short distance. The route then leads south, past the Hooglandse Molen, and in Herwijnen, you arrive at the Waaldijk. You follow the Waaldijk eastward. In Waardenburg, you must pass under the A2 and then follow the Waal for a short distance, with a view of the mill and castle of Waardenburg. The Waaldijk between the castle and Neerijnen is an unpaved path (gravel) that is very accessible by racing bike.
