GR 126 Brussels - Waterloo

Very beautiful section of the GR 126 to walk in 1 day. We did the route in reverse: took the train to Waterloo to start the hike there. The section from the station to the GR126 is less beautiful: it's a shame that you can't walk through the Argenteuil domain, which means you have to walk alongside the motorway for quite a way. Once you reach the GR126 towards Brussels, you almost always walk through forests: a pleasant surprise to be so close to the capital. Once in Brussels, you walk through the beautiful Ter Kamerenbos, then the ponds of Ixelles, the vibrant and trendy Flagey square (definitely grab a drink on the terrace or inside the Belgacafé) and then arrive at Brussels Central station via the Matongé district and along the Warandepark. Highly recommended!
