Plumstead ist ein Dorf und eine Gemeinde im englischen Grafschaft Norfolk. Das Dorf liegt 19,7 Meilen nordnordwestlich von Norwich, 9,5 Meilen südwestlich von Cromer und 134 Meilen nordöstlich von London. Die nächste Stadt ist Holt, die 4,8 Meilen nordwestlich des Dorfes liegt. Der nächste Bahnhof befindet sich in der Stadt Sheringham, von wo aus der Zugang zum nationalen Schienennetz über die Bittern Line nach Norwich möglich ist. Der nächste Flughafen ist der internationale Flughafen Norwich. Plumstead fällt in den Zuständigkeitsbereich des Bezirksrates North Norfolk.
Plumstead hat einen Eintrag im Domesday Book von 1085. Im großen Buch wird Plumstead unter dem Namen Plumestead verzeichnet. Der Hauptlandbesitzer war William de Warenne.
