Die Dillinger Hütte ist ein Hüttenwerk in Dillingen mit einer über 300-jährigen Geschichte. Sie ist das größte Grobblechwerk Europas. Im Walzwerk werden jährlich Grobbleche mit einem Gesamtgewicht von etwa 2 Mio. t produziert. Die Die Dillinger Hütte wurde 1685 gegründet und war 1809 das erste deutsche Unternehmen, das Aktien ausgab. Die erste Stranggussanlage für Brammen wurde im Jahr 1962 in Betrieb genommen. 1998 kam u. a. eine weitere Anlage für 400 mm dicke Brammen hinzu. 2010 wurde erstmals eine 450 mm dicke Bramme gegossen . Seit Juli 2017 gibt es eine Anlage für Brammen bis 600 mm für die dicksten Stranggussbrammen der Welt. Hauptaggregate des Walzwerks sind zwei Quartogerüste. Das Vorgerüst ist mit 5,5 m Ballenbreite und maximal 108 MN Walzkraft eines der größten der Welt.
