Die Zeil ist eine Straße in der nördlichen Innenstadt von Frankfurt am Main. Seit dem Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts gilt sie als eine der bekanntesten und umsatzstärksten Einkaufsstraßen in Deutschland. Zuvor war sie vor allem für ihre prächtigen Gasthöfe und Palais aus der Zeit des Barock und Klassizismus berühmt. Der westliche, rund 500 Meter lange Teil der Straße ist seit den 1970er Jahren eine Fußgängerzone. Im Westen, wo am Platz An der Hauptwache die Katharinenpforte abzweigt, beginnt der Roßmarkt, im Osten ist der Platz Konstablerwache noch Teil der Fußgängerzone. Der östliche Teil der Zeil ist eine innerstädtische Verbindungsstraße zwischen Konstablerwache und Friedberger Anlage.
