Die Kathedrale von Beauvais ist die höchste gotische Kathedrale der Welt (48 Meter bis zu den Gewölben). Weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten sind die teilweise romanische, teilweise gotische Kirche Saint-Étienne mit Glasfenstern, der Bischöfliche Palast und das Teppichmuseum Galerie nationale de la tapisserie de Beauvais. Die Stadt war in der Vergangenheit ein wichtiges Zentrum der Teppichweberei.
In Beauvais befindet sich der nach Passagierzahlen drittgrößte Flughafen von Paris, der Flughafen Paris Beauvais Tillé.
