In the Vleeshuis Museum on the Grote Markt you can learn everything about the oldest history of Dendermonde. Archaeological finds, old documents, a collection of handguns and firearms, elements from former Ros Beiaardommegangen, ... you'll find it all there. The biggest eye-catcher is still the skeleton of a mammoth, which at 28,000 years old is the oldest inhabitant of the city!
