Mietje Stroel is the name of a statue that is located at Grote Markt 1 in Zelzate.

The figurine represents a "female piss" and is thus the female counterpart of Manneken Pis or, according to the official reading: the girl who peed where the hair fit. In addition, the story was made up that she was found in the landfill and was raised by a smuggler. In honor of Mietje, the Guard of Mietje Stroel was also established,

In 1976 the official engagement party was held in Brussels between Mietje Stroel and Manneken Pis.

A small museum was dedicated to Mietje Stroel, in which there are all kinds of costumes, prints, gifts and of course also pispots, which are related to the statue
