The island of Champinoit is a Belgian island located on the Meuse near Lustin, opposite the village train station. It is small in size and has remained quite wild.
Between 1945 and 1954, the southern tip of the island was used as a seaside resort during the period favourable to tourism. Managed between the tourist office of Lustin at the time and the Toussaint family. Around 1950, the actor Albert Préjean made a film there with little success. The northern tip was used for a period for small-scale sheep farming. The Moureaux family, Charles and his son Philippe used to come here to fish for pike.
