For almost four hundred years, the castle of Hingene was the favorite summer residence of the noble d'Ursel family. Every year the Duke went there with his family and servants. Now Castle d'Ursel is owned by the province of Antwerp, which lovingly restores the old glory and brings new life to it.
During a guided tour you will learn all about the construction history of the castle in Hingene. You'll also get to see a beautiful piece of interior history , and you'll admire watercolors, drawings, and oil paintings that illustrate the story. This way you will meet the castle and its inhabitants, the great events of history and the 'petite histoire' of everyday life.
