Long Tail Pond

Lined with the pagoda tree, also known as the tree of 40 gold coins, these trees existed as long ago as the Jurassic period. Originally from China, the species has become scarce in the wild. It is said after the atomic bomb exploded in Hiroshima, the pagoda trees were the only from of vegetation to survive.
The pond is home to many species of ducks and waterfowl. In the summer you can see enormous carp living alongside pike, perch, zander, and other species.
