In the immediate vicinity of Raeren Castle is Haus Raeren, also built in the 14th century. To this day, it is privately owned and largely preserved in its original design. Only the windows were enlarged and a new roof was put on. The old moat and the farm yard are also still there. Among the numerous owners of the House of Raeren in the course of its history is the von Schwartzenberg family.
