Der steinerne Schlüssel is an east-west oriented dolmen. The dolmen is part of the Straße der Megalithkultur.
The dolmen has a trapezoidal shape and is 4.9 meters long and the short sides are 2.0 and 1.4 meters wide. There are no remains of a cover mound. The megalithic structure is located 1.3 kilometres south of Apeldorn and north of Meppen in Emsland, Lower Saxony.
