Diersfordt Castle is a moated castle in the Wesel district of Diersfordt, which dates back to a medieval castle of the Lords of Wylich and has a history of almost 700 years.
As a fief of the Counts of the Mark and the Dukes of Cleves, the complex was in the possession of the Counts of Stolberg-Wernigerode from 1831 onwards after the extinction of the von Wylich family. Both families constantly expanded it and finally converted it into a castle in the style of the late Baroque. Completely destroyed by fire in 1928, it was rebuilt in 1929 in a greatly simplified way. Only one building in the outer bailey has remained almost unchanged to the present day.
