The Agache pit or Édouard Agache of the Compagnie des mines d'Anzin is a former coal mine in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais mining basin, located in Fenain. The two shafts were undertaken in 1907 and the pit began operation in 1913 when 571 workers produced 161,559 tons. But the First World War began the following year, and the facilities were partially destroyed. It was not until 1921 that the pit was productive again. Cities were established near the pit, and a conical slag heap No. 150, Agache, was built southeast of the pit. In 1927, the Compagnie d'Anzin undertook in Hornaing the sinking of the Heurteau pit, intended for the service and ventilation of the Agache pit.
