The Chabaud-Latour pit or François de Chabaud-Latour of the Compagnie des mines d'Anzin is a former coal mine in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais mining basin, located in Condé-sur-l'Escaut. The three shafts were started on June 5, 1873 and the pit began mining with two shafts in 1875, with shaft No. 3 providing ventilation. All three are aligned on the same axis. The inflows of water are strong, since in 1884, it is necessary to exhaurage 900 m3 per day. With the commissioning of the Ledoux pit, the Chabaud-Latour pit gradually ceased to increase its production from 1904 in favor of it. Mining ceased definitively in March 1910. Shaft No. 1 was tightened and filled in 1915 while Shafts Nos. 2 and 3 provided return air. The pit was destroyed during the First World War, it was then rebuilt in more modest proportions, cities being built on part of the pit tile, this is how well No. 1 is found in the garden of a house.
