Lake Landro is located at the bottom of the Val di Landro, in South Tyrol, in the municipality of Dobbiaco a few kilometers north of the junction, near Carbonin, which forks towards Lake Misurina or Cimabanche, at a distance of about twenty kilometers from Cortina d'Ampezzo.
At the lake you can admire the steep rock faces of the Dolomites, in the territory of the Sesto Dolomites Nature Park.
In winter for many months the lake is frozen. It is usually used for a cross-country skiing ring which is an interesting variant of the Dobbiaco-Cortina cycle path.
