The Rio Bria or Rio di Tires originates near the Nigra Pass in South Tyrol. It flows into the Val di Tires and flows after about 15 kilometers from the left into the river Isarco in Prato all'Isarco.

The name is attested as fluvius Pria in 1027, as steg über den Prein in 1390 and as Preipach in 1497 and 1520 and derives from the late Latin etymon *pirâriu.
