The Cimabanche Pass is a mountain pass in the Dolomites in the Province of Belluno near the border with the autonomous province of Bolzano, located at 1,529 m above sea level between the Croda Rossa d'Ampezzo massif to the north and the Cristallo massif to the south. 15 km long at 2.2% gradient on the Ampezzo side and 16 km at 2% on the Pusterese side with a total difference in height of 590 m., it connects Cortina d'Ampezzo, a famous tourist resort and ski resort of international fame, in the Ampezzo basin, in the Venetian province of Belluno, through the Val di Landro, with Dobbiaco, located in Val Pusteria in the autonomous province of Bolzano. A few meters south of the pass there are three small lakes: Lake Bianco, now dry, to the east, Lake Nero and Lake Rufiedo to the west.
