Jachthuis Sint Hubertus or Jachtslot Sint Hubertus is located in the north of the Hoge Veluwe National Park, between the towns of Otterlo and Hoenderloo, on the territory of the municipality of Ede, in the Dutch province of Gelderland.
As early as 1909, the wealthy Kröller-Müller couple had bought a considerable amount of land in the Hoge Veluwe area. The 6,000 hectare property served as a hunting ground for the passionate hunter, using an old farm as accommodation. A more prestigious residence, in which business friends, diplomats and artists were also expected as guests, was commissioned by the Kröller-Müllers from the architect Hendrik Petrus Berlage. He was given a free hand in the design, so that he could develop a completely independent work. The design submitted in 1914 was realized by 1920. The entire building is built with bricks, some of which are glazed. Berlage designed not only the building, but also the entire interior. Tiles, lamps and furniture: everything has been coordinated.
