La deuxième bataille de Guinegatte, dite Journée des éperons, oppose le 16 août 1513 à Guinegatte les troupes françaises de Louis de Longueville et Jacques de La Palice, destinées à libérer la place assiégée de Thérouanne, aux troupes anglo-germaniques commandées par Thomas Wolsey , qui remportent la victoire de façon écrasante. Les deux commandants français, ainsi que le chevalier Bayard et Jacques d'Amboise, fils de Jean IV d'Amboise, sont faits prisonniers par les Anglais et emmenés à Londres.
