Aan de zuidkant van het Sint-Pietersplein, op het nummer 26, is een pareltje van eclecticisme en gestileerde Art Deco te zien. Het is de apotheek van de Vooruit die gebouwd werd in 1923. Het gebouw zelf is in statische neoclassicistische architectuur en dateert van 1848.
De glas in-loodramen met florale motieven zijn typische kenmerken van de Art Deco. De houten kroonlijst is centraal uitgewerkt met een gestileerd neorococo frontonnetje. De bouwheer was de "Samenwerkende Maatschappij Vooruit" en sinds 1923 is het altijd een apotheek gebleven.
