In the years 50, the bishop of Ghent decided to create a copy of the stolen painting "De Rechtvaardige Rechters".
He asked the painter Julien Van de Veeken to take up the task. As any artists want to do, he put a personal touch to the painting. He changed the 15th century person by a "modern" well-known person. Leopold the third, became one of the heads of the Judges in the painting.
