As in other Limburg mining municipalities, garden neighborhoods and other facilities were also established in Beringen for the miners and their families. Meanwhile, the Minecité is protected as a village landscape. In the vicinity of the Kiosk Square, mainly mine officials lived; the workers lived a bit further away.
In the pleasant and multicultural Beringen, there is always something to experience. How about a walk on the mining hill or a visit to the Saint Theodardus Church?
Through the Tourism Office, you can arrange a visit to artisanal businesses such as the blueberry farm Blueberry Fields, the goat farm 't Kasteeltje, or the milk sheep farm De Stalse Schans, or the beautiful Fatih Mosque.
