The Sint-Agatha Church in Landskouter is a gem among the small rural churches in Romanesque-Gothic transitional style. Since the visit of a French princess in the 11th century, who was cured of breast cancer there, Saint Agatha has been venerated. Saints were historically depicted with one or more characteristic 'attributes.' For the martyr Agatha, that became a plate with her severed breasts on it.
