Kalhausen is a French commune with 806 inhabitants in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region. It belongs to the Sarreguemines canton in the Sarreguemines arrondissement.
Kalhausen is located in the far southwestern part of the Bitche region, 18 kilometers southeast of Sarreguemines. To the northwest, the Saar forms the boundary of the municipality, to the west the Eichel, which also marks the border with the Crumpled Alsace that adjoins to the south. The eastern neighboring village is Schmittviller, to the northeast is Etting, and to the north Achen. The territory of Kalhausen also includes the hamlet of Hutting and the small village of Weidesheim, where the Ache flows into the Saar, which crosses the northern part of the municipality in a distinctly deepened valley from east to west. A settlement has also developed around the train station near Weidesheim.
