Once, Cannaertshof was a castle farm that was part of a Loon fief in the hamlet of Klein Stevoort. Parts of the dwelling date back to the 16th century. The 17th century saw the construction of the gatehouse with a dove loft and several stables. The cross barn was built in 1714. The farm is located by the Wanbeek, a tributary of the Herk.
