The Sint-Amanduskerk is the parish church of the East Flanders town of Gavere, located on Molenstraat. The church of Gavere was first mentioned in the 13th century. It was developed into a cruciform church with a crossing tower. In 1789, the church was rebuilt in a classicist style, retaining the 13th-century choir made of Tournai stone. From 1874 to 1877, the church was enlarged according to the design of Edmond de Perre-Montigny. A new, three-sided choir was built, and the transept was also renewed. The west tower received a new upper section and a spire.
