The nature reserve De Vorte Bossen consists of 50 hectares of ecologically valuable deciduous forest in the moist stream valleys of the Wante and Pachtebeek. Poplar and beech avenues cross the forest. Spring adorns it with a carpet of wood anemones. The fact that it can be wet here is captured in the name: 'vort' means 'rot' in West Flemish.
