De naam van de Blekerijweg verwijst naar de blekerijen (wasserijen) die hier gevestigd waren. Het huis met nummer 8 is een tuinderswoning, gebouwd in 1990, met daarachter ' De Koepel', een herinnering aan deze wasserijen/ blekerijen. De Koepel is een voormalig wachttoren om toezicht te houden op de bleekvelden met wasgoed. Op het land wordt nu groente verbouwd.
