"On May 17, 1902, in his 57th birthday, Jacint Verdaguer, one of the greatest poets of Catalan literature, moved from 235 Aragó street in Barcelona, where he lived, to the country house known as Villa Joana, in Vallvidrera (Barcelona), where he hoped to convalesce. On June 10 he died in Villa Joana. Nowadays, the house, converted into a museum, can be visited.
Verdaguer was buried in the Sud-Oest Montju´c cemetery in Barcelona."
