From the architect: 'This concerns the expansion and renovation of the HCO. The expansion now includes all public functions, such as study rooms, library, exhibition, archive shop, and café. It radiates a new spirit of openness and accessibility. The building is designed like a folded sheet of paper. It curls into the space and even the stairs are partially cut strips that naturally fold down.'
