Syngrou park is one of the most beautiful parks of Attica. No wonder it is popular for hiking, walking the dog, jogging and mountainbiking.
It is hard to believe you are actually in the urban area of Athens when you wander around in Syngrou Park. The park contains some marvelous trees, such as the rising and dominant ‘Kypares’-tree, mostly associated in Greece with cemetries.
In spring, you will find plenty of fig-trees showing the start of the fruit. But you have to wait till September to taste them.
