Flines-lez-Raches

Flines-lez-Raches is a French commune located in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region. The climate that characterizes the commune is qualified, in 2010, as a "degraded oceanic climate of the Central and Northern plains," according to the climate typology of France which then counted eight major types of climates in the metropolitan area. In 2020, the commune is classified as having an "altered oceanic climate" in the classification established by Météo-France, which now only counts five major types of climates in the metropolitan area at first glance. It is a transition zone between oceanic climate, mountain climate, and semi-continental climate. The temperature differences between winter and summer increase with the distance from the sea. The rainfall is lower than at the seaside, except near the reliefs.
