Arthès is a French commune with 2,512 inhabitants in the Tarn department in the Occitanie region. It belongs to the Albi arrondissement and the Saint-Juéry canton. The inhabitants are called Arthésiens. Arthès is located about five kilometers northeast of the center of Albi at the edge of the Cevennes mountains. The Tarn River forms the southern boundary of the commune. Arthès is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Saussenac to the north and northeast, Saint-Grégoire to the east, Saint-Juéry to the south, and Lescure-d’Albigeois to the west.
