Boissy-le-Sec is a French commune located forty-six kilometers southwest of Paris in the department of Essonne in the Île-de-France region.
Boissy-le-Sec is situated between the Beauce plain and the valleys and hills of Hurepoix: the village itself, to the southwest of the commune, is still in Beauce, whereas the two hamlets to the north of it – Le Rotoir and Venant – are already located in Hurepoix, on the edge for the first one, and within the valley of the Renarde for the second. The latter gives its name to a classified site, established in 1987 which, with its complementary inscription, extends to the west north and east of the commune.
