Fovant ist ein Dorf und eine Gemeinde im Südwesten von Wiltshire, England, etwa 9 Meilen westlich von Salisbury an der A30 Salisbury-Shaftesbury Straße, auf der Südseite des Nadder-Tals.
Im Domesday Book von 1086 wurde eine Siedlung namens Febefonte mit 22 Haushalten aufgezeichnet, die vom Wilton Abbey gehalten wurde. Das Kloster wurde 1539 an die Krone übergeben, und Fovant gehörte zu den Dörfern, die Sir William Herbert, später Earl of Pembroke, granted wurden. Die Pembrokes blieben bis zur Zerschlagung des Anwesens im Jahr 1919 als Grundbesitzer in Fovant.
