Grootschermer es una aldea en el municipio de Alkmaar, en la provincia holandesa de Noord-Holland. La aldea cuenta con aproximadamente 695 habitantes.
Hasta 1970, formaba parte del municipio de Zuid- y Noord-Schermer, tras lo cual se unió al municipio de Schermer. El 1 de enero de 2015, la localidad se unió a ese municipio para formar el municipio de Alkmaar. La aldea ganó notoriedad nacional tras un atentado con bomba en la casa del secretario de Estado Aad Kosto por parte del grupo de acción RaRa en 1991.
