Natural Bridges National Monument was the first Dark Sky Park.
To find dark places to observe the sky is very hard with all the light pollution. That’s why the organisation Dark-Sky Association created the Branded Dark Sky Parks or DSPs.
This location rates a 2/9 on the Bortle dark-sky scale. This is a measure of light pollution. 1 is a value for the middle of the ocean. 9 is a value for the inner-city.
