The Ald Weishoês, a national monument built in the Gelderland Renaissance style in the early 17th century, is located at the corner of Grote Kerkstraat and Kleine Kerkstraat in Venlo.
In its early years, a Latin school was situated there. This remained in the building until 1619, after which it came into the hands of the Cruisers, who started giving classes in their monastery from that year. Who occupied the building afterwards is unknown, but it is known that from 1680 to 1883 the city school was located there, with the charity school in the basement.
