Many of the climbs leaving the Rhone/Saone valley are rather congested with cars, and so is this one, but it is still one of the least congested.
The climb itself is not to hard, you leave the Rhone at the confluence at ca 165 m asl, and climb in different steps to St-Foy, ca 305 m asl.
