Between cycle junctions 27 and 34 near the centre of Herzele in the Molenstraat, you will be introduced to a centuries-old stake mill. The mill Te Rullegem used to be a ban mill. Currently, a team of volunteers grinds regularly. The mill can be visited.
Junction 34 can be reached via junction 32 by taking the Kanunnikstraat, crossing Evendael and turning left in Solleveld and following the old Miners' Path to the left. All the way down in Evendael on the border with Sint-Lievens-Esse, a little to the left of this path (you really have to go there to see it) you will find the remains of the water wheel of 't Watermeuleken.
A shortening is possible by cycling further into the Molenstraat, past the Molenbeek (the Bataaf used to be a water mill) towards the village of Woubrechtegem where you pick up on the bicycle junction network at junction 34, direction 40
