Das unter Denkmalschutz stehende ehemalige Postgebäude von Middelkerke, das 2008 als Museum “Küstengeschichte - Das alte Posthaus” seine Türen öffnen wird, ist ein bemerkenswertes Gebäude. Gemeinsam mit der denkmalgeschützten Villa “Les Zéphyrs” in Westende wurde es in ein interaktives Museum über die Geschichte des Küstentourismus umfunktioniert.
