Reeds in het begin van de 13de eeuw eigendom van het 'Sint-Janshuys', later het OCMW Brugge, kende deze hoeve een bewogen geschiedenis aan de rand van het Vloethemveld. Ongetwijfeld stond zij voor een groot deel in voor de ontginningsgeschiedenis van het heidegebied. Ook hier bleven de walgrachten tot het einde van de 20ste eeuw getuigen van het verleden. De walgrachten werden helaas gedempt.
