Cows, Mormons and erosion

Bryce National Park (Utah, USA) is world famous for its
'Hoodoos' created by headward erosion. The most popular hike of the
park is the Navajo Trail (here you
can have a look at that hike). During that hike you can
experience the labyrinth of canyons. The canyon is named after the Mormon Ebinezer Bryce who came to this area to make a living as a farmer. His famous quote about this canyon was: 'It's a hell of a place to lose a cow'. |
