Cows, Mormons and erosion

Bryce

Bryce National Park (Utah, USA) is world famous for its 'Hoodoos' created by headward erosion. The most popular hike of the park is the Navajo Trail (here you can have a look at that hike). During that hike you can experience the labyrinth of canyons.

The canyon is named after the Mormon Ebinezer Bryce who came to this area to make a living as a farmer. His famous quote about this canyon was: 'It's a hell of a place to lose a cow'.
