Set-up
Every month, we ask somebody to be a modern Pytheas
and tell us something about the most amazing place they have ever
experienced, and explain why this is!
Globespot of the month: Praia do Guincho, Portugal

The Pytehas of this week is our
own RouteYou-er
Philiep Van Der Putten. As wine expert, motorcruiser, geographer and
travelling salesman, he has seen many corners of the world. The place
he liked the most is Praia do Gaucho...

As Pytheas of this month I've chosen a wonderfull peace
of
nature at the Portuguese coast, West of Lisboa.
Take your bike and ride along the coastal road (N247-7) between
Cascaïs and surfers' beach Praia do Guincho (around 10Km). In
the
second half of the route you stop along the road and take the time to
calm down, enjoying the rough game that the ocean waves play with the
rocky coast. The photo's try to give you a first impression, but
there's nothing like the real experience of standing there in spring,
autumn or winter... I can enjoy this for hours! |
