Time path

In 2001, a large-scale play about the history of the four districts of Sint-Gillis-Waas was staged under the title Tempus. After that, the idea arose to plan a bike path on this theme. As you will notice along the way, Sint-Gillis-Waas, Meerdonk, De Klinge, and Sint-Pauwels can look back on a rich history. This historical route also takes you through beautiful, open polder landscapes, which is definitely an added bonus. Furthermore, part of the bike path is adorned with poems from people who have a connection to the community. Along the way, there are also references to Reynaert de Vos, who appears throughout the Waasland.

SAFETY
Safe route with little traffic.
Relatively many sections of dirt road, some of which are difficult to navigate after heavy rain. 25% car-free.
